You people are pathetic
You people are pathetic.
You use a lot of big words for having the brains of a small rodent (and I am talking about anyone who isn't a christian).
What is it like to go through life not knowing where your going, or whats going to happen.
The even sadder thing is, is that the bible says that you would say stupid things like on this web site.
I'm not going to explain anything to you, people didn't like Jesus to much, so you know they won't like christians.
People who are saying stuff like the things on this blog have only accomplished to further my pity for you.
I am so sorry for you, because I am full aware of whats going to happen to you. I'm so, so sorry....

Even if death is total obliteration of consciousness, I'm ok with that. I will need the rest. Life sucks and then you die. That's reality. It takes COURAGE to be well with that fact.
What we are up against in fiction based religions is that using the name of God they can promise you anything. They have everlasting bliss in Heaven, omnipotent intervention, an inflated sense of self worth, a loving community, a sense of some grand purpose, and of course, burning in Hell forever for those who fail to believe.
One thing that religions understand is that they start brainwashing their children early because they understand that the earlier they establish mental patterns the harder it is to change them. Hence the rapid increase in Private "Christian" schooling that we see today in Australia. Conversion to fiction based religions is easier than facing reality . If a person is in an emotional crisis and someone comes along offering them a solution to their problems, they might just go for it. After all, it's so easy. All you have to do is believe and an omnipotent protector is going to intervene on your behalf and take care of you forever. What a deal! People want the quick fix. Reality often isn't a pretty picture. If they have lost someone they want to believe that they will be reunited with their lost loved one in some afterlife. They want to believe that when they die that they are going to go to a better place, or at least something other than ceasing to exist. They want to believe that their total existence is more than 75 years and then they are gone. So it's really easy for religions to create false hope, because there aren't any dead people out there who have come back from the supposed afterlife. I also find it amazing just how many people believe that the New Testament Jesus was a real person. Gulibility seems to be the name of the game.
You poor excuse for a christian must be terrified of what you have been reading here - the joyful (and sometimes anguished) declarations of those with the brains and the guts to escape the prison of christian beliefs. And you think we are pathetic? Poor thing. Oh, and by the way, you are a very bad christian who is going to your hell, because you have been disobedient to your god.
"What is it like to go through life not knowing where your going, or whats going to happen."
It should be "where you're going"
and "what's"
"I'm not going to explain anything to you, people didn't like Jesus to much, so you know they won't like christians."
Should be "like Jesus too much"
Now for my response: Do you realize you are posting at a site full of EX-CHRISTIANS? We were once like you, brainwashed and on fire for the lie.
Thank you for your Christian love. Jesus would be proud if he were alive today (or ever).
Wake up moron, Jesus doesn't exist! Fact: People such as yourself who believe invisible people are real are typically suffering from delusions and/or hallucations that may be a symptom of serious mental disorder such as psychosis. And more often than not, people like yourself with these symptoms need to be taken out of the general population to prevent you from hurting yourself and family members.
Please, please, drive yourself to the nearest mental hospital asap and get help!!
This is Satan, the great and powerful red beast with 7 heads and 10 horns(Rev 12:3, 13:1). I'm gonna poke your eye out this year at a date of my choosing, at 6am, the 6th min, and the 6th sec. Be afraid, be very afraid. Boo!
You are a religious nutbag cowering in fear.
Cuckoo, cuckoo! Time for your meds!
(assuming you read this far)
I can see how you would find this website threatening or horrifying. To a person who believes in an invisible friend it must be a bit unsettling to find people who don't support your fantasy. And to a belief system that thrives on monopolising control and goodness it must be a bt threatening to find people who are happy and healthy without you.
That's becuase many of those who post their testimonies have similar experineces as we did. Hearing from "christians" who want to witness is much more fun... Because they can't back up their beliefs.
If we ran into a church and started telling them their religion and ideas were stupid and that their god doesn't exist, we would get a lot of repliea too. As well as an ass whipping as well.
On behalf of all Christians I would like to apologize for the above post. I would ask that you not judge other Christians based on the ones that make comments like the one listed above. Not all Christians act Christ-like a lot of the time; I am not making excuses or condoning his/her behavior. Even I have said a few less than “productive” comments on this site and again I apologize.
Please forgive my spelling. I wish there was spell check on this!

All I can say is: may your delusion serve you well in sedating the pain you experiencing from living in the real world – our world. I honestly hope for your sake that Jesus comes to fetch you soon, because I fear you are heading for a total breakdown. And I trust he will take the whole caboodle of Abrahamic religionists.
No we're not. You are.
No tipsies backsies, forcefield immunity times infinity plus 1!
Good stuff! :)
Dearest friends,
As your fellow deconverted freethinker, I respectfully submit for your review the notion that homeschooling should not be criticized as an assumed accoutrement of fundamentalist Christianity. I concede that a great percentage of homeschoolers is in fact composed of fundamentalists. However, I think it important to acknowledge that a good percentage is not.
I, for one, am a very diligent homeschooling father whose goal is a demanding education for my three children. The rigor to which I subject my children is, in my estimation, formidable. They are at liberty to progress at the velocity that suits them best, or remain on a subject for a little longer to ensure complete mastery.
In my mind the expression "no child left behind" effectively produces "every child is held back."
I believe the statistics demonstrate, year after year, that homeschooled children perform exceptionally when compared to their publicly or privately schooled peers.
You are all exceptionally educated and intelligent. My earnest hope is that you would consider homeschooling a legitimate educational option, and not impugn it undiscerningly merely because many fundamentalists are turning to it themselves.
At the very least, I imagine that you all would prefer to keep homeschooling legal in the sad event that fundamentalism establishes a terrible reign upon the nation (as is the stated goal of some groups such as "Christian Reconstructionists"). This freedom might be needed to protect all of our children from forced indoctrination by the state.
Respectfully submitted,
Salvatore
You are absolutely right! It never occurred to me that in the event of the loss of our freedoms, that homeschooling might represent the bulwark of a defense against theocracy. I fired from the hip, so to speak, and I apologize, as I know many ARE successfully homeschooled, even though the vast majority are fundamentalists. I tarred everyone with the same brush, and that was inexcusable on my part.
Sounds like we might be making you think!Keep on reading, you might
just be set free of your belief in fairy tales!!
I went to a public school and wouldn't recommend it.
I've found a (not so) surprising article showing that the reason public schools are so bad may not be just because of incompetence:
http://www.thememoryhole.org/edu/school-mission.htm
The US army needs you in the middle east! Maybe your love and higher inteligence can stop the war?
Hum Maybe we should start trolling christian sites and leave our opinions there.
P.S.The high number of responses is normal. If I went to your house and farted inside I'm sure I would hear about.
I never knew that the bible mentioned anything about the Internet, let alone mentioning ExChristian.net.
Perhaps we should have another look?
Not!
bible writers knew, (common sense)
that people would laugh at it's absurdities and claims.
When will you literalist christies quit quoting a fictional book, grow up and face reality?!!!!
Deuteronomy 31:6
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
Joshua 1:9
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
1 Corinthians 16:13
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.
1 Peter 3:14
But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. "Do not fear what they fear ; do not be frightened."
Also Brother: Know that, while it may not seem like it and they will surely not admit it, your stand of faith WILL have an affect on unbelivers:
Acts 4:13
When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.
Hebrews 3:6
But Christ is faithful as a son over God's house. And we are his house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast.
Isaiah 35:4
... say to those with fearful hearts, "Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you."
Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Joseph and Mary could not have been married, otherwise Mary would not have been a virgin.
Couldn't have said this better myself — about Christian fundamentalists, that is.
Also, I used to use that tone during my Christian decades, citing verses relevant to my point. Now all I can think is: wow, scary.
You're right, that was barbaric enough without anyone's help.
Funny how Christians are filled with horror at the idea of people sacrificing children at Halloween (has that EVER happened?) but are filled with reverence when God does the exact same thing.
You said, "...Brother: know that...your...faith WILL have an effect on unbelievers."
Sorry to burst your bubble, but your "faith" WILL NOT have an effect on us, other than maybe making us puke for its phoniness.
Why don't you christians get it? We don't believe in christianity here! That is why this website exists! It is a meeting place for people who DON'T believe in your absurd religion!
You called him "brother." That is another thing that sickens me about your damn religion. You people see each other as "brothers and sisters" yet you see the rest of us as "damned, heathen, unsaved, wretches." Fuck you and your goddamn religion.
Christianity having to scare people into joining them (also with talk of the "last day")is like someone having to tie a bone around their neck to get the dog to play with them!
Some christians believe those poor souls in hell will be given a chance to "accept Jesus" at the "last day." This means that God would throw them into hell for a few thousand years then yank them out and if they don't "accept Jesus," throw them into the lake of fire mentioned in revelations! Why anybody would believe in such nonsense is beyond me.
Christian theology is nonsense.
The difference between christians and ex-christians is this: Christians believe. Ex-christians THINK.
hahahahaha...
It would make more sense to believe that God would WANT the world united in peace and harmony!
There are too many problems with christian theology.
Another note-Christ is quoted to have said, "There shall appear among ye false teachers, even in my name," which could not possibly be if the doctrine of salvation by grace is truly "Gods word," assuming God exists. Anybody who "accepts Jesus," which would include all denominations of christianity including Mormonism and the JWs, should be sanctified in Christ and their word should be the word of God. This would also include the catholics, who are damned according to the christian church. How does this work? Who are the false teachers in the name of Christ? They are all saved, yet some are fake? What's the problem here? As I said earlier the bible is a tangled web of deception which, frankly, explains the many denominations of christianity.
Sean
i'm an italian boy and as you know vatican and catholic religion are omnipresent even more than God.
"Isaiah 35:4
... say to those with fearful hearts, "Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you." "
Vengeance is an unenlightened concept.
This verse appeals to the lowest common denominator within all men, especially christians who have made themselves such martyrs that all they can hope for is to oneday achieve some kind of satisfaction against their 'persecutors'.
So yes anonymous, maybe love and higher intelligence can stop the war - if only the idea of 'vengeance' (or 'justice' as some prefer to call it) didn't have such a grip on humanity.
P.S. The phrase "Impacting Others" sounds like a line from the Joyce Meyer TV show, "Let Joyce impact your life on a regular basis..."
Well she does, but not by request.
I sent a question in to her website asking why god didn't set up a system of reincarnation so that his stated desire of ALL men being saved could one day be fulfilled, instead of the Hell system where most of them are tragically lost...
I got no reply, except for an uninvited subscription to her monthly magazine.
So yeah, she does impact my life on a regular basis.
At least it's free, though I did get an invoice charging me for $0.00 - it all revolves around money doesn't it...
"Vengeance is an unenlightened concept." Well put.
I agree with you that if there were an afterlife a doctrine of reincarnation would be more sensible. God would certainly have common sense!
Yeesh. I wish christians would think instead of believe.
Some of the bible I might accept. some of it is nonsense. Overall, it's a screwed up mess.
Fuck you you spineless piece of shit! You scared pussy motherfucker! Why don't you ram it straight up your ass you cunt lick!
