Looking for volunteers

To whom it may concern,

My name is Simon, I'm researching a documentary film for Touch Productions, based in Bath, UK. We're trying to find stories about families that have been divided or broken due to religious conflict within the home. This might involve a split family, who haven't seen a daughter for ten years, or maybe a devout couple where one has a
dramatic change of faith.

I was hoping that you might be able to help us with our research by answering a few questions. Maybe you or someone you know has been affected in this way or possibly you know of someone who might be able to help us further.

The idea is still in the early stages of development, but we're hoping to have it ready to pitch to channel commissioners by early next week. Any information you might be able to provide us with would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time and kind regards,

Simon Ball

It's a wonder your not swamped under. Christianity and its misconceptions have literally destroyed lives by the thousands. Many folk who leave the church cannot even tell their parents for fear of rejection and being outcasted by their friends. Christianity sucks to use a modern day terminology

Guess what folks? A Muslim country already has the bomb, Pakistan. The Muslims and the Hindus of India have already been willing to die by the millions for their religious beliefs. Iran will have the bomb soon, and their Bible tell them to kill anyone who is not a Muslim. Islam teaches the same crap as Christianity, that this life is a pile of shit, and we all should be willing to die for a chance to get to the next one.

The Christians are slobbering at the thought that "Armageddon" is right around the corner, and given that billions of people can't wait to get to the next life, it is fairly inevitable that we are going to destroy our selves.

I happen to think that certain termite societies are watching all of this, and are ready to take over. Did you ever look at a termite close up? They look like little Aliens!

DEISM DEFINED

Deism is defined in Webster's Encyclopedic Dictionary, 1941, as: "[From Latin Deus, God.Deity] The doctrine or creed of a Deist." And Deist is defined in the same dictionary as: "One who believes in the existence of a God or supreme being but denies revealed religion, basing his belief on the light of nature and reason."

This common sense approach to God and a spiritual philosophy can not only bring a lasting profound sense of peace and happiness to the individual, but it also has the potential to go light years in eradicating religious fear, superstition and violence.

I was a minister for 22 years ,I recently have departed from the faith . I now know that the bible is just made up of plagerized versions of pagan mythology.I am now a deist willing to die not knowing who or what god is.the consequences have been awful. I 've lost my wife & kids, all my freinds.and the false sence of peace & security, yet the exitmentof seeking & searching once agian for the truth by farexceeds the dream (asleep)state I was in. nugnosticguru,...freedy

nugnosticguru,..freedy,
I will be 70 in may. I have been hanging around this site for a couple of years. Most or at least a lot of the regulars here are pretty smart people, and rarely a day goes by that I don't get a new slant on things.

The one thing that I have gained is a rock solid conviction that:

"the excitement of seeking & searching once again for the truth by far exceeds the dream (asleep) state I was in." nugnosticguru,...freedy"

I have even acquired a little compassion for the Jesus cult members who come onto this site and attempt to witness to us, They all tend to do the same thing. They start out by spouting a few of the "verses and phrases" from the bible, and when they realize they are just comical to us, they will get very defensive and say we are picking on them, and generally end up sticking their fingers in their ears and running away yelling that we are all possessed by the devil.

They don't have the wiliness to face even the most basic, of the myriad of illogical, contradictory, and just plain silly assertions of the Bible.

Another conclusion I have come to is, a lot of people just don't care one way or another about religion, and simply refuse to discuss it. (kind of like, if they don't talk about it, God will give them a free pass), and in a way they probably are right. I like what Mark Twain said in "Letters from earth" Humans imagine that God is sitting on his throne waiting with great anticipation for the next one of us to tell him how wonderful he is.

I like to think that if there is a God, and he went to all the trouble to design the evolution process that finally let us emerge at the top of the food chain, basically because we are smarter than all the other animals, that he would be MORE fond of those who used their brains, than those who shut down all rational thought in order to be able to accept a fairy tale.

go to www.exmormon.org. There are many who post there who have many tales of broken families due to the strong control the mormon church (the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as they like to be called) has over it's members. I'd highly recommend going there and reading the stories told on a daily basis. They are heart wrenching!

How about do a little research yourself. There have been whole civilizations and tribes destroyed or wiped out by the Jesus cult. The American Indians were completely destroyed by the God cult book followers of the Bible, over 20 million Indians women children and elderly, were killed, maimed or bludgened to death by the pilgrims. Were they seperated by there families? Yes they were seperated from their own home land.
