God is real

God is real, Jesus is real, the Holy Spirit is real.

Jesus is coming back some day.

I will check this site often and pray for everyone on it.

I am convinced of my beliefs

Well, You know they say misery loves company and if my comments end up for viewing I'll be surprised.

"For he that comes to God must come believing as a little child and that he is a rewarder of those that seek deligently after him" Most all the dialouge here has basically how the failures of others have affected you. People will always fail you.

While it may not be enough for you, the record that we have is what we have and thats it. The Bible. This is not about believing in a method of living or a religion that fits. In centuries past here those of you here would be referred to by the Jews as "Goyim"( no god). " And the Jews left Egypt and the mixed multitudes followed.

There have always been that have chosen to follow after god and Gods people. So now you don't have one doesn't mean that God doesn't exist because you say so or that he does because I say so. Again the record we have is what we have. "Many are called but few are chosen", "The just shall live by faith" I did read a few comments here made some of you, and it sounded as though you were Jew haters. God will deal with the Jews.WWll should have taught you that. Many here are very eduacated it seems as well. "But with your learning get wisdom" Everyone here needs to challenge his own position with God because thats the way we are judged in life, the same in the hereafter. It's between you and him alone.

"Can the pot say to the potter, I do not like the way you have made me" Whatever your choices are there is one way to know that you are correct in your current beliefs and that is to die. This is something we all are going to do. Then you will have your answer for sure. Yes there have been many errors in how God has been presented to the word by men............ But I've heard it said better to be scared into heaven than to walk boldly into hell. You will recieve your reward, whatever it is. So you won't believe "

Some would not believe yet someone from the dead come and tell them". "The sheep hear my voice" God listens to those that call upon his name even to those who are not worthy like me a sinner saved by grace according to the word of God. And this is were it leads to whether you believe in the words of God or not. So people do not be so quick to judge Christians, they will be judged and they know this. "How shall they hear unless a preacher go and tell them". There is no need for a responce to me as I am convinced of my beliefs too.

It's real evidence, isn't it?!

Many of those who wrote their stories here stated that there is no real evidence of God and of his son Jesus Christ. It’s all a alie. There is no evidence for all of the history printed in the Bible nor is there evidence for many so-called miracles.

But what about those miracles we have heard about on t.v. or read about in books or magazines. I’m sure everyone here has heard of such things as people that were declared braindead in a hospital briefly see a bright light or an angel with wings before they are revived.

What about exorcism? – you know, casting demons out of those who are possessed?

How about those who have had suffered some sort of long term physical problem are suddenly healed almost instantaneously when they pray with a minister while the minister’s hand is laid upon that person’s forehead?

What about speaking in tongues?

I’ve never seen it with my own eyes, but is any of this true?

Wondering

What is GOD?

God is energy in all of us. The power of God is something you have to search for in every situation. I believe that when you give off negative energy you breed a negative return of energy and positive energy for positive energy. When I say positive energy I mean complete honest energy. Not energy you create in your mind to make you feel better about something negative I mean a better perspective not a fantasy. People always say to their selves “why do bad things always happen to good people” well they don’t. Good people run into bad situations and the out come isn’t always the best. We are all God and God is us. We decide when we will have a bad day and we decide if we hate our jobs, but only we can change that by changing our attitude, energy, and perspective. If you believe that sitting in a church dumping money into a tray with 100+ other people listening to someone tell you what you can and can’t do will save you, then fine that is your perspective. The truth is we live and we die and death, bankruptcy, and lies etc… around us makes us stronger or weaker, but that is your choice. A lot of you probably have no idea what I am talking about right now. Some of you probably think I some kind of drug addict hippie. But for you that do understand have found your inner God. For those of you who don’t understand. No, I don’t do drugs and I am not a hippie. I am a normal Joe blow that works 8 hours a day and has a ranch style house and lives paycheck to paycheck. Guess what, I love my life and no I don’t love my job and I choose to not like it. Life to me is love, family, friends, mind, and skills. I want to tell you a little story.

July 1st 2003 I am standing in front of my 4 month old son Treston in the emergency room, minutes earlier he stopped breathing for reasons unknown at that time. My grandmother was there with my family and I. I called her because she has been a Christian for almost her whole life. I guess I was hoping for a miracle with her faith. Something did happen, as I prayed I could see golden rings around my eyes and I almost fainted I had to fight myself to not faint. During that moment it seemed as if my son looked at me and said goodbye. I immediately realized he was gone. As my girlfriend blamed God I could only stand there and realize that nothing more could be done and I could deal with that. Yes, I felt terrible that I had just lost my son but I knew this was how it was going to be and I didn’t blame anyone. I had the strength to comfort other people when I was the one that should have needed comforting. It hurts but everyday I am positive about the bad things in life and I realize that it’s all part of life. I have never been a Christian and never believe in organized religion, church, or to the point where I almost didn’t believe in God, but for some reason some energy or supreme power reached out to me to help me deal with what was happening. A miracle did happen July 1st 2003. No, it didn’t fix the cyst on my sons heart and it didn’t bring him back to life, but it did show me how to find my inner God. And I can honestly say that I will never be a Christian and I will not Judge you if you are.

The moral of my story is that you need to believe in yourself and others in order to reach your inner God. God is deep down in all of us and you just need to stop and look, listen, and feel the positive energy that is all around you because we are God together.

Thank you for taking the time to read this,

lamb to the slaughter

Let's start with - I'm a Christian... now that we got that out of the way, I really wanted to say something because it looks like you guys are having fun on this site. I don't want to debate, I'm not educated enough for that, really.

It says this is a site for 'encouraging' ex-christians so I thought I would do some encouraging if I may. I have noticed from the posts I have read that many of you seem to be very educated, well read and obviously intelligent. I think it's great to actually use your mind and gain understanding, which many of you have.

I have also noticed a lot of wisdom in the things I have read - so much of 'religion' is a load of crap and we all do well to weed through the junk - seems to me many of you have done your fair share of weeding as it were. This too is good. It seems as defenders of the non-faith (not sure if that is what you call it) you do a great job... there are the odd just plain nasty responding posts which I figure are par for the course because it doesn't matter if you are christian or non with regards to bitterness. All is fair on this battlefield I suppose.

I don't need to tell you all the things you've already heard but I did want to say a few encouraging things - as a Christian, I'd rather build you up than tear you down. You all seem to be seekers of some kind of truth or you wouldn't have even got this far... so don't stop seeking just to battle out the christians - you are on a cool path, relentlessly pursuing truth and leaving a trail of lies, myths, stupidity, traditions etc in your path- what a breath of fresh air!

And to those of you who are full of bitterness toward christians... that's ok too, obviously if we can't handle it then we need to take a look at what we believe. I just find bitterness to be like a neon sign that says 'Hey somebody really hurt me and I don't like it!" And, I'm sorry that people hurt people because it really, well, hurts.

Thanks for giving the opportunity for strangers to wander through the site and have something to say... I was actually looking for 'testimonies' from 'christians' with regard to the 'Tsunami' and when I did my google search, there you were, right near the top! I had to check the site out cause I had never encountered an ex-christian site before.

Anyways... best to you all - I think you are an interesting and very lively bunch.

Jesus is God.

I can't believe what I am reading. You won't see a cite for ex muslims. You want to know why? Because Allah and Muhammad are not God. Jesus is God. I know this is painful for you to read but I am absolutely convinced of it because of you all!! You all are fullfilling bible prophecy right now by scoffing and mocking the very GOD who gave His life for you. His requirement from you is that you forgive others!! He said that we are to forgive others seventy times seven a day. I know that humans are not better than God. He wouldn't ask us to do something He Himself had not already done. The bible says that all we have to do is confess our sins to HIM and that He is FAITHFUL and JUST to FORGIVE us our sins and to CLEANSE us from all unrighteousness. Is this brain surgery???? You rejected God because you want to be GOD. The gospel is so simple that a child could understand it. A child.

How could you Miss it??? Can't you understand that God is Good? Think of a person you really respect right now. I don't know what qualities you all prefer in people but I know that I prefer good hearted people. Those are the ones that get my respect. God is the best being that you can't even imagine. He didn't cause the tsunami. If you knew God at all you would know that He came to give us life. Satan came to kill, steal, and destroy.

But I guess it makes better since for you all to believe that some awesome person made the Bible up. What a person that would have to be. They would have to be forgiving, loving. They would definetly want justice and mercy. Wow! I would still love the God of the Bible if someone had made Him up!

It's important to remember that the gospel is a Faith gospel. That means if I have to prove it for you to believe it, you will never be saved.
